Title: TV Talk Show “Common Objective”

Background: The talk show “Common Objective” is a daily TV program broadcast by TVR Moldova TV Channel in both Moldova and Romania. My role as a host and producer involved different tasks from researching to guest outreach, content creation, and live interviewing. I was one of the three moderators of the program, and I covered economic topics, such as green energy, public transportation, and the banking sector. The main goal was to educate the public about national and international economic trends, in a way that would ensure translation of complex topics for a large audience.

Scope: The most challenging and rewarding part was moderating the talk show and integrating all the production, articles, and live interventions. The moderator’s responsibilities were to ensure discussion flow, give equal time for each of the guests, encourage professional debates, etc.

Process: The steps in the talk show production were as follows:

• A weekly team meeting to brainstorm ideas for the talk show, including potential guests, talking points, program structure, video materials, recorded interviews, and stories.
• Getting approvals from the management and coordinating any additional talking points and editorial suggestions.
• Guest outreach – sending official requests for information to governmental entities; calling experts, authorities, and other relevant stakeholders with an invitation to join the talk show.
• Script writing – preparing news articles and video stories. Cooperating with text and video editors for content proofreading and video editing. 
• Moderation and interviewing – guiding the conversation, ensuring the pre-approved script is followed, and facilitating a dynamic, engaging conversation by actively listening and asking clarifying questions to ensure all necessary questions are answered.

Success metrics: This project was a true testament to my skills as a Journalist, where I leveraged my expertise in storytelling to make a significant impact. Working as part of a small, dedicated team, I had the distinct honor of receiving recognition from prestigious journalistic organizations in Moldova. Our talk show, “Common Objective,” was celebrated as the TV Program of the Year 2022, a highlight of my experience in multimedia production and effective public sector communication. This achievement underscores my ability to produce compelling content and manage engaging narratives.
